Mimicking Refracted Light
An extension of my work with color into physical interaction, this experiment seeks to mimic the qualities of light as it is refracted through optical media. Physical interfaces are more appealing when given qualities borrowed from physical things we already know—a type of skeuomorphism. Below, I'm borrowing light patterns from diamonds, prisms and other shiny things. Enabled by an Arduino Nano, the RGB values are calculated by a function that takes the IMU data as its input.
