I work as Product Designer on interdisciplinary teams of designers, technologists and artists. I am experienced at growing design ideas into new products and features by inspiring collaboration. In my role as a designer I reveal and communicate the potential for new technologies from a functional understanding of software engineering.

I apply software as a creative medium and use a variety of tools to explore design ideas. My choice of tools depends on the maturity of an idea and the stakeholders in the design process. My work often begins with sketching an idea on paper, discovering the potential for new concepts through discovery and user research. Early on I also explore technical feasibility by engineering prototypes, in doing so I assess how soon a feature may be released and if the boundaries of a project need to be reshaped. As design emerges I may use Cinema 4D and After Effects to socialize the concept more broadly and inspire collaboration. Eventually my original technical exploration may be developed into a design prototype ready for use as research stimulus or in technical specifications provided to engineering partners.
